This gentleman explains marriage in a way very few even fathom. This to me is what marriage, is truly about. A time and place in this universe we are together and we are everything we ever need. No one else will ever understand or be able to interpret what we know deep down to be the truth.
Keep on doing what you do good sir. Men like you give us awkward (excuse the pun ;P) a fighting chance that we might one day find someone as good as you have. That not only understands the concepts you have put forward but practice on a daily basis.
Nothing is perfect. Far from it. Perfect is a universal definition society has chosen to depict something.
To me, perfect is what you believe it is.
This made me tear a little bit. To the strongest people in the world, to all the amazing mothers out there <3
They push you. So you learn to push yourself. Without them, life would be nothing. Moms, this is to you.
Listen. And Learn.
You know you’re worth more. You know they don’t deserve you. You know that they will never be what you want them to be. They will continually fall short. Expectations will be dashed. You’ll learn to live with less. And not to expect anything. You’re constantly reminded how inferior you are. Or they are. Yet you stay.
Why?
Why people submit themselves to being with someone who is not good for them. Less then they deserve. Abusive; both emotionally and physically. A loser. Cheater. Incompetent. You could literally stick any adjective in here and it would most likely fit the same situation. You are in a relationship, that is self deprecating. Self sacrificing. Self humiliating. Almost everyone will state “I love him/her”. This, is their crutch, and their coffin.
Love.
This verb has caused more strife in the world then anything else. Ever. Ever ever. Its been the root of wars, conflicts, death, suicide, divorce, adultery, and depression.
Stop.
Using it as an excuse. Or a reason to take someone back. Or to stay with someone. Love is not the answer to everything. Nor should it be the cure all, and end all in this world.
Never settle.
Together, with the person you love. You strive and move toward total enlightenment. In every shape and form. You better each other in almost every aspect. They are literally the ying to your yang. It’s your other half, soul mate. If you know the person you’re with now is not this person. Why bother? There is better. Out there. Somewhere. Go find it. Don’t be scared. Live life, because it can be over in the blink of an eye sometimes. Optimism will get you far.
